Important information for parking a vehicle at the Grand Trees.
The following rules and guidelines are specific to vehicle usage and parking. By bringing a vehicle to Grand Trees Apartment complex, you automatically agree to abide by the parking rules listed below. Please don’t think that you can be the exception; these regulations will be enforced.
GARAGE AND COVERED PARKING:
You may park your car in the garage or in the carport in assigned parking spots for an additional fee. (call the office for pricing)
YOU MAY NOT PARK:
On the grass, on Grand Ave, On sidewalks, next to exits/entrances, anywhere not designated and marked as parking.
OVERFLOW PARKING:
Although parking is usually not an issue at the Grand Trees, we have made special arrangements with a neighboring business next door for after hours overflow parking. You may park In the east parking lot (yellow star in the photo below) from 6pm to 6am.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Although you may park during the listed times in his rear parking lot, the owner WILL TOW ANYONE who parks in the front of his building during any time.
Park In Your Rented Space
Each adult resident who has a valid driver’s license and is on a lease is entitled to one parking place for one car only. Rental of space in the parking garage or carport is not considered additional parking. Tenants who rent a carport or garage must park in their paid parking place at all times. If you no longer want or need space in the carport or parking garage, give up your parking spot. Parking outside of your paid spot takes a space away from another tenant.
Display A Valid Parking Sticker
All tenants must display a valid parking sticker. Any vehicle without a sticker is unauthorized and may be towed without notice at the owner’s expense. It is the tenant’s responsibility to see that his/her sticker is properly displayed at all times in the car’s rear window. Grand Trees will not be held responsible for tenants’ vehicles that are towed due to improperly displayed parking stickers, including stickers that fall off.
Guests and Guest Parking
If you have to use guest parking (the parking lot East) on a weekday, you or your guest must be out of the lot by no later than 7:30 a.m. (NOT 7:45 or 8 a.m.) During the week, your guest may park on the Grand Trees lot (preferably on the lower level near the carports) but must move at 5 p.m. to the East lot. A guest is defined as someone who does not occupy a tenant’s apartment for more than seven days or nights per month. Make sure your guest knows the rules! From 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. all tenants should be able to find a parking space in our lot or in the East lot. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees that tenants will be able to find a space immediately outside the back of their building.
Vehicles in Need of Repair
All nonworking cars must be removed from Grand Trees property within 24 hours or will be towed. Also, ongoing car repairs are not permitted in the garage, carports, or the parking lot. Boats, trailers, recreational vehicles, etc. may not be stored on the premises. No unlicensed or inoperable vehicles may be parked at Grand Trees. Vehicle repairs should be limited to emergencies only and must be completed within 24 hours.
Driving Safety at Grand Trees
Be careful when driving down the driveways and through the back of the complex. Grand Trees is a busy complex day or night–tenants are coming out of doors and visitors are crossing over to the East lot. Slowing down prevents an accident. The speed limit is 5 m.p.h. Anyone seen driving at an excessive speed (remember, you are responsible for your visitors also) WILL BE EVICTED–COUNT ON IT! The east drive is an entrance only to the complex and the West is an exit only. We’ve had some close calls when people enter or exit using the wrong driveway. Please be careful.
Use Common Courtesy
Don’t park next to the building. Parking and leaving your car running emits exhaust fumes which go into the apartments above. If you have someone picking you up, your guest needs to call you on the intercom, NOT SIT IN THE CAR AND HONK THE HORN TO GET YOUR ATTENTION. Turn down your radio when you drive into the complex. Your neighbors work various shifts, so there is always someone trying to sleep at any time of day. Remember the golden rule and follow these simple considerations as common courtesy.
